Cross: We used a cross in our opening sequence because an exorcism is being performed and it is the religious or spiritual practice of evicting demons or spiritual entities. The cross is generally associated with religion, more specifically Christianity, which is the most widespread religion in Britain.
Bible: We used a Bible because it is the holiest book in Christianity and in the OTS it is a christian priest who is performing the exorcism,
Rope and chair:
The rope was used to tie the victim to the chair. The reason why we used it is because we wanted to show the audience the weaknesses of the victim. The chair was used to keep her in place, this would reinforce to the audience the weakness of the victim and her vulnerability.

Candles:The candle was a good prop as it had a double meaning. it was a metaphor for hope, when the candle goes out, it symbolises that the exorcism has failed and their hope is gone. The candle is also a representation of the victim's innocence, once the candle goes out, the victims innocence is lost.
